A Family Affair

This is my family, and thanks to the help of each and every member, Bustle is no longer a dream but a reality. Each of them has in some way contributed to the foundation and continued growth of Bustle. Not only have they offered physical labor and emotional support, but they have believed in the dream which means more than words can say.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

XOXO

Meet our intern, Laura Walker

Laura has jumped on board the Bustle train and we are absolutely in love! She has a sweet spirit and a brilliantly creative mind that is always churning. The project on the board right now is our open house party, set to take place at the end of the summer. Laura is working away on designing party invitations (that are absolutely gorgeous, by the way), planning decorations and putting her touch of charm on every detail.

To give your eyes something to feast on, check out this wonderful dress she made entirely of pages from a book::

And here's a piece from one of her invitation suites::

Laura, we couldn't be happier that you chose to spend your summer with us. We can't wait to see what the future has in store. In the words of Gretchen Wieners, 'You're so fetch!'

509 Photo

We want to thank 509 Photo for each of the incredible images on the Bustle site. 509 is a collaboration between A Bryan Photo and Caleb Chancey Photography, and what a wonderful collaboration it is. We love the way they are able to perfectly capture everything beautiful about a bride and her groom on their wedding day. Take a peek at a few more of their images...

Not only are these guys wonderful photographers, they're also the sweetest, southern gentlemen. You just have to meet them! Contact them here for info on capturing your special day.

A joyful farewell to the brick & mortar Weddings Etc.

For Birmingham natives, Weddings Etc. has been at the heart of all things 'wedding' for more than 30 years. They've been providing custom stationery and invitation suites as well as all kinds of uniquely charming gift items.

It is not without a twinge of sadness that we share the news of this storefront closing, however, we know that there are big and wonderful things ahead for their web based boutique. While they build their online shop, Weddings Etc. will continue to offer their dreamy monogrammed bride books, bridesmaid cake charms and a number of other enchanting items through their Etsy page.

Pop in and snag some goodies before they close their doors on June 30th!

We're live!

Thanks to the hard work of these two handsome fellas, Bustle's website is off and running! On the right is Jeremy Carter (my hubby) and the left is David Blumberg. David is our long-time friend and an incredible designer.

This photo was taken by our dear friend, Bryan Johnson, on our wedding day.

The website was designed to deliver all the important details to both brides and consignors on the shopping experience as well as the consignment process. You can even send an appointment request to us directly from the site!

One of our favorite features of the site is the blog. Here, we will share all kinds of things with you from exciting new giveaways to features on our favorite local talent.

Follow along with us as we embark on this Bustle journey!

XOXO
